  All credit goes to THE YWN and BoroPark24 By BoroPark24 Staff BDE: It is with a heavy heart and with great sorrow that we report on the petirah of the Seagate Rov, Harav Yekusiel Yehuda Meisels, zecher tzaddik l'vracha, a bridge to the past and a wellspring of Torah who continued spreading the mesorah and light throughout his long life. He passed away at age 94. The Rebbe had been unwell in recent years and returned his holy neshamah to its Maker, moving on to a better world. The Levaye will take place tomorrow morning 10:00am at the Rav's shul in Seagate. Photo galleries, and a full tribute will follow on BoroPark24. What began as a routine sight of a son helping his elderly father turned out to be a story of unconditional giving by a complete stranger. While at a local synagogue, Toker noticed an elderly Jew devotedly assisting an elderly person during prayer. The Elefant In The Room: Ignoring the Key Issue on the Draft Crisis

This time, I’m writing both literally and metaphorically, depending on the spelling. (I cannot resist wordplay.) Several people sent me the  video  of the Agudah Yerushalayim Yarchei Kallah, specifically the section about army service, featuring R. Yosef Elefant of the Mir Yeshiva. I’ll be honest, I could not bring myself to watch it. But then someone sent me a  transcript , and I took a look. There is, of course, a lot that can be said about it, and there will be other people doing so. I just want to focus on one thing. Before I do so, I will point out that R. Elefant, in his presentation, claimed that nobody,  including himself , is actually allowed to have an opinion on this.
