Dvar Torah By Rabbi Borger Of Derech Ohr Somayach

Parshas Terumah 5780 with Rabbi Borger
Shalom aleichem.
The Alshich Hakadosh says that the 613 mitzvos are really 613 expressions of the essence of Hashem and each and every one of the mitzvos is eternal.
Of course, that probes a bit of a question.
In this week's parashah we talk about the building of a Mishkan.
A Mishkan, seemingly, is not eternal because it didn't last forever.
It only lasted for about 500 years, 800-900 years, so how is it something that's eternal that we can go and connect to?
Says the Reishis Chochmah because you have a Mishkan inside every single one of you as it says, "v'shachanti b'socham."
And Hashem says and I will come to go and dwell inside every single one of you.
Hashem is dwelling inside every one of you.
The Toldos Yaakov Yosef explains on the pasuk in eileh pekudei.
He says these are the countings of the Mishkan, Mishkan Hashem.
A double expression of Mishkan to go and express the two parts inside of the Mishkan, inside of each and every one of us.
On the one hand, there's the brain.
There's the neshama and the brain, the intellect.
On the other hand, the other part of our service of Hashem is the nefesh and the ru'ach which is in the heart.
We have to use both of those aspects in serving Hashem.
That's why we bind ourselves with our tefillin to go and bind our hearts with the tefillin shel yad and our mind, our intellect to Hakadosh Baruch Hu.
This is the month of Adar, guys.
Adar is Alef dar, says the Reishis Chochmah.
Which means Alef, the one, Hashem comes to dwell inside of us.
Let's go and open up our hearts, let's go and open up our minds and let's keep on building ourselves more and more and connecting to Hashem every day in greater and greater ways.
Have a beautiful building Shabbos
