No Worse Punishment than the loss of Free Will
The mishna (oral law) explains the process Hashem follows. In yeshiva a man is free. He can use his time to accomplish. But when he doesn’t, he is punished with the loss of free will. And there’s no worse punishment because once he’s in the army he can’t do whatever he wishes. Or even when he’s working, he’s enslaved. And now he looks back to the good old days; he had opportunity but didn’t utilize it. - Bitachon (#32)

A unique double mitzvah. Donations to Simchas Hachaim Publishing spread Torah twice: once as we publish new books and sfarim, and a second time when the proceeds from book sales benefit Rabbi Miller's yeshiva. Select a book to sponsor or call 845-275-3725 x700 to discuss a major sponsorship.
