On each morning of Chol Hamoed, the Kriyas HaTorah discusses the korbonos which were brought on Chol Hamoed. In Eretz Yisroel, where there is no sfeika d’yoma (an uncertainty regarding which day is Yom Tov), all four aliyos repeat that day’s korbon. Generally, if there is no Levi in the shul, the Kohein who was called for the first aliyah receives the second aliyah as well. During Chol Hamoed, however, when the same pesukim are reread, some poskim question whether the Kohein should receive consecutive aliyos. They suggest that the Kohanim in such a situation should leave the shul before the beginning of Kriyas HaTorah (and not receive any aliyah) in order to avoid the issue. During Musaf, each day’s korbon is included in the Shemoneh Esreh. If a person mistakenly said the wrong day’s korbon, he is still yotzei and does not need to repeat Shemoneh Esreh. If he has not yet finished the brocha, he should return to the proper spot and correct his mistake.
