We must speak of Hashem’s love more than anything else. When people get together and talk about where they’ve traveled, or what kind of car or furniture they’ve bought, they’re wasting their emotions. These feelings of enthusiasm are given only for one purpose —  “ nagilah v’nismicha bach ”  (Shir Hashirim 1:4): to love Hashem and come as close as possible to Him. -  Most Beautiful Nation    Own a SimchaPod?  Get  the biggest file update in ten years !    (Can't view the page?   Which  brochos  may be said after lighting the candles? Prior to lighting the  menorah,  the  brochos  of  L’hadlik Ner  and  Sh’asah Nissim  are recited. On the first night, a  brocha  of  Shehechiyonu  is recited as well. After lighting the first candle, the  pizmon  of  Haneiros Halalu  is recited. Some wait to say it until all the candles are lit. The following  halochos  apply if a person forgot to recite the  brochos  before lighting the  menorah : 1) If he remembers before lighting the additional candles (on the second night and onward), he should recite all the  brochos . 2) If he only realizes after all the candles were lit, he may still recite  Sh’asah Nissim  and  Shehechiyonu  (on the first night). In order to emulate Him, Abraham understood that men must go to great pains in order to bestow happiness upon men; just as He did when He set the great machinery of the world in motion to give Man an apple dipped in honey. -  Rejoice, O Youth Subscribe     The Hasmada Program : Free MP3's... just for listening everyday!   All credit goes to Dirshu |  911 County Line Rd. ,  Suite 205,  Lakewood, NJ 08701 Can one candle be lit with another candle? Regarding the question of whether it is permitted to light one  Chanukah  candle with another, there are three opinions: 1) Transferring a flame from one candle directly to another is permitted. Using a match or another medium is forbidden. Although the intent is to light another  ner , doing so indirectly disgraces the  mitzvah . 2) Transferring a flame from one candle to another using a match or another medium is permitted, as long as it will not become extinguished while in transit. 3)  Rema  rules that one should not transfer at all--even from one candle directly to another. He explains that since there is only one mandatory candle, a person would be automatically transferring from a candle with sanctity to a candle that has a lower level of sanctity. The  Achronim  disagree about whether...
