Must the menorah be relit if the candles go out?

The mitzvah of menorah is fulfilled with the lighting. Therefore, if the candles go out, it is not necessary to relight them. If, however, they were deliberately extinguished, they must be relit. A brocha is not recited. Some say that if, at the time of lighting, one was planning to extinguish the candles before the requisite time, he must relight them with a brocha. If the candles went out inadvertently, it is proper to relight them even though doing so is not mandatory. It is especially appropriate to relight the menorah on Friday if the candles go out before sunset.
