May any oil be used for the menorah?

There are certain restrictions as to which fuel and wicks may be used for Shabbos candles. If they are of inferior quality, there is a concern that a person may come to tilt a candle for it to burn better. For the menorah, however, there are no such restrictions. Anything may be used for the menorah, even on Shabbos. Since it is forbidden to use the lights of the menorah, there is no concern that someone will tilt the candle in order to see better. If one will be adding more oil than is necessary to the menorah, however, he must be careful to use only fuels that are acceptable on Shabbos. After the candles burn the requisite amount of time, they can be used for one’s personal benefit and therefore the Shabbos concern becomes relevant again.
