'פרשת שמות - דיני הזכרת שם ה

This week we continue our discussion of the Halachos regarding uttering Hashem's name. We began last week with the Passuk in this week's parsha that mentions the proper way of pronouncing the name of Hashem. We discussed the meaning behind this concept and if is similar to the Kri-Ksiv found throughout the Torah. We also discuss the proper kavana needed.

This week's section discusses the Halachos regarding saying Hashem's name by spelling out the letters of the name as it is written. (An example of this case is the custom by some to say L'Shem Yichud, in which the name of Hashem is recited by spelling it out.) Additionally, we discuss another Shem referenced in this Parsha - Eh'keh asher Eh'keh - and its halachic status.
ישמח משה
Shivti and BMG would like to extend a heartfelt Mazel Tov to our very own VP Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Gleiberman upon the marriage of their daughter Chayala to Pinny Wiesel, son of Rabbi and Mrs. Shmuel Wiesel. In the zechus of his tireless efforts on behalf of Limud haTorah, may they be zoche to see much nachas from the new couple and the rest of their family.
